We love the work. The best venture partnerships are built over long periods of time. Our philosophy is simple: think independently, act with integrity, and serve founders well.Venture capital is a long game where reputation, relationships, and judgment compound. Our goal is not to be everywhere. Our goal is to be indispensable to the founders we partner with.
"Kevin was one of the first people to believe in Kalshi and backed us well before there was any real consensus. From day one, he had deep conviction in both the vision and our team, and he consistently showed up when it mattered most. He has seen what greatness looks like across multiple generations of companies, bringing that perspective along with a powerful network and real credibility that compounds over time. More importantly, he’s a true partner — someone who is in your corner in the hardest moments, not just the easy ones. Having Kevin with us from the beginning has been truly beneficial to Kalshi."
- Tarek Mansour, Co-Founder/CEO of Kalshi
"Kevin was a core part of building SV Angel and someone I worked closely with for nearly a decade. During that time, he played a meaningful role in supporting some of the most important companies of the last decade and building the firm into what it is today. He has a deep commitment to founders, a strong eye for talent, and a genuine instinct for identifying exceptional people early. Kevin leads with integrity, works tirelessly on behalf of the founders he backs, and consistently shows up when it matters most. He represents the kind of partner we always aspired to be at SV Angel, and I’m proud of what he’s gone on to build with Night Capital.
- Ron Conway, Founder of SV Angel, Google Angel Investor
"Kevin understood what we were building at Snap very early, when it wasn’t obvious to most people, and had real conviction in both the product and the team. He has a strong instinct for the unique aspects of products that resonate with users, along with the creativity to see what others miss. Just as important, he understands the founder journey and brings a level of empathy and support that’s rare. Kevin has remained a close partner to Snap over time, maintaining strong relationships across the organization and continuing to add value well beyond the early days and through IPO. He is a thoughtful, long-term partner who shows up when it matters most."
- Evan Spiegel, Co-Founder/CEO of Snapchat
"Kevin was one of my first calls when we decided to build Zip, building on a relationship that goes back over 15 years to my first company. He’s been a constant through every phase. He is a thoughtful, high-conviction partner with clear judgment and the perspective that comes from having seen what great looks like many times before. Kevin shows up in the moments that matter most and has been in our corner through both the highs and the lows. That consistency and long-term partnership are what set him apart."
- Rujul Zaparde, Founder/CEO of Zip
"Having worked closely with Kevin since his time at SV Angel, I’ve seen firsthand why he is the partner every founder wants. He leads with trust, moves with conviction, and consistently spots potential long before the consensus.Kevin brings a rare combination of multi-generational experience, a powerful network, and unwavering credibility. Most importantly, he is a constant: he supports founders through every stage of the journey, not just the early days. With sharp instincts, deep integrity, and a genuine commitment to his people, Kevin is an amazing partner."
- Ram Shriram, Sherpalo Ventures & Google Board Member
Kevin has been a close friend and trusted confidant since I first entered the tech ecosystem over 16 years ago. He believed in me before anyone else did, and has been a constant partner ever since. He was my first call when starting Underdog and has been deeply involved in helping shape the company as we’ve scaled. His relationships run incredibly deep, and he consistently shows up in the moments that matter most. Simply put, he’s the most valuable investor I’ve worked with — the GOAT.
- Jeremy Levine, Co-Founder/CEO of Underdog
"I’ve known Kevin since his early days at SV Angel and have had the opportunity to watch his development as an investor over many years, including being a close partner as he began building Night Capital. He combines strong judgment with a clear sense of what great looks like, shaped by experience across multiple generations of companies, and has consistently identified exceptional founders and companies at their earliest stages. Kevin is deeply committed to the founders he backs and brings both perspective and discipline to his investing. He has built Night Capital with intention, and it reflects the same long-term orientation and integrity he’s demonstrated throughout his career."

Night Capital was founded by Kevin Carter.Kevin began his career pursuing an entrepreneurial path before meeting the team at Baseline Ventures in 2008. What began as informal collaboration quickly turned into a career in investing. In 2009, Kevin joined Ron Conway to help build SV Angel, where he spent nearly a decade investing in and supporting generational founders from the earliest stages of company formation. During that time, the firm partnered early with companies such as Airbnb, Stripe, Coinbase, Square, Snap, Twitter and many others. In 2018, Kevin began investing independently and founded Night Capital with the support of the Conway family and a small group of strategic technology leaders as Limited Partners. The firm is now investing from its fourth fund and has been fortunate to invest in the first rounds of Deel, Zip, Standard Bots, Plenful, Rally Legal, Underdog, Gamma, and Kalshi.Over the past 17 years, Kevin has participated in more than 1,400 investments and built long-standing relationships across the technology ecosystem. During that time he has worked across every stage of venture investing — from early Seed and Series A partnerships to growth rounds — while maintaining a consistent focus on backing exceptional founders early.Today Kevin works alongside a small, focused team including Colt Sauers and Susan Hyland, supporting founders while keeping the firm lean and personal.Night Capital is the culmination of that experience.
